These terms govern your use of Serif ("the app"), an email client for Gmail available on macOS and iOS. By using Serif, you agree to these terms.
Serif is a third-party email client that connects to your Gmail account via Google's official APIs. It allows you to read, compose, organize, and manage your emails. Serif is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
To use Serif, you must sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Serif accesses your Gmail data only through authorized OAuth 2.0 tokens that you explicitly grant.
You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account permissions.
You agree to use Serif in compliance with all applicable laws and Google's Terms of Service. You may not:
Serif and its design, code, and branding are the property of Genyus. All rights reserved. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal purposes.
Serif is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with all systems. Use the app at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Serif, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of emails, or inability to access your account.
Serif relies on Google's Gmail API and, on iOS, Firebase Cloud Messaging. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or functionality of third-party services.
We may release updates to improve functionality, fix bugs, or address security issues. On macOS, the app checks for updates automatically via Sparkle. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of any changes.
You may stop using Serif at any time by deleting the app and revoking Google access. We reserve the right to discontinue the app at any time without prior notice.
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
