Brow

Terms of Use

Last updated: September 30, 2026

These terms govern your use of Brow : AI meeting recording (“Brow”), a macOS application developed by Anthony Fernandez, an independent developer based in France (“we”). By installing or using Brow, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Brow.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Brow on Macs you own or control, for your personal or internal business purposes. You may not sell, rent, redistribute, or reverse-engineer Brow except to the extent the law expressly allows. Brow includes open-source components that remain under their own licences (for example, the Bricolage Grotesque font under the SIL Open Font License).

2. Recording conversations — your responsibility

You are solely responsible for informing the participants and for obtaining any consent required by law before you record, transcribe or summarise a conversation. Laws on recording conversations differ between countries and regions — some require the consent of every participant. Brow is a tool; it does not ask participants for consent on your behalf.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Brow:

You are responsible for the notes, recordings and transcripts you create and for how you share them.

4. Third-party services

Brow can work with services you choose to connect: Google (Calendar and Contacts), Anthropic (through your own Claude Code installation and Claude account, for summaries and MCP access) and Notion. Your use of these services is governed by your own agreements with their providers, including their terms and privacy policies. We do not control them and are not responsible for their availability, content or handling of your data. How Brow handles data exchanged with them is explained in the Privacy Policy.

5. AI-generated content

Transcripts are produced automatically on your Mac and summaries are generated by an AI model through your Claude Code. Both can contain errors or omissions. Review them before relying on them or sharing them.

6. No warranty

Brow is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that Brow will be uninterrupted, error-free or that a recording will always be captured. Keep your own copies of anything important.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, recordings, profits or business, arising from your use of or inability to use Brow. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, such as liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Termination

You may stop using Brow at any time by uninstalling it; see the Privacy Policy for how to delete your local data. We may end this licence if you breach these terms. Sections 2, 6, 7 and 10 survive termination.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The new version will be published on this page with an updated date. Continuing to use Brow after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of France, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
